DC Universe dated for November

Simultaneous on PC and PS3.

Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that its superhero MMO, DC Universe Online, will release this November.

According to a report from IGN, the release will be simultaneous on PC and PS3.

That's something of a surprise, as SOE has so far failed to release the long-promised PS3 version of its family MMO Free Realms, which appeared on PC in spring 2009.

DC Universe Online lets you create your on superhero to go adventuring alongside, and against, popular character from DC comics like Batman and Superman. IGN reports on a new mission starring Harley Quinn, but says that the combat feels somewhat "flat".

Expect more from E3.

Awesome...let's hope the rumoured psn premium includes subscriptions for these type of games

I doubt it! That said - I've been itching to try an MMO on console - just refuse to pay subscription fees AND Live membership for one game. Hope it does make it to PS3

I want this game to be better than it currently looks : s Hopefully it'll come together. I don't have a pc so I'll probably sign up just to test out these MMO shenanigans.

    "create your on superhero"
    *own

If the character creator is comprehensive enough (it'll have to be), this might be a larf.

@NotSoSlim- last I heard DCUO was f2p (or buy to play i dunno), either way much like Gold for live, 'PSN+' wont include MMO subs if you remember the sub itself like on the pc wont go to the PSN ppl but back to the game, so those expecting FFXIV 'free' on the PS3 - it's unlikly to happen

I'm kinda glad DCUO is f2p as knowing Blizzard they'll try and bury the release hype of it by overshadowing it with Cata, people will at least check it out and not feel they have to 'choose' for once

Q4 of 2010 is probably when WoW:Cataclysm is coming out. This game does not want to go head to head with it.

pswii6o - the only thing Champions Online could ever come top of is the steaming mound of shite that is constantly spewed from Bill Roper and Jack Emmerts mouths
  • Connobi #12 2 years ago

Lol, lets see if it makes to the PS3 - I'm not holding my breath. Sony is well known for bold statements & failing to deliver on them.

"Everything's flat in World of Warcraft!"

Nah, you can jump (even off cliffs) and fly (in parts). Whereas in Age of Conan even a low bench is an insurmountable obstacle...
