Sergeant Big Boots has just told us that those of you looking for a way into the European Xbox 360 beta test for Call of Duty 4 need look no further.

That's because we've partnered up with Activision to give away kit-bags full of keys this Friday. We'll even paint your face for you.

It will be the first chance us Euro-dwellers have had to join the test after the US got first dibs back in August.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been winning praise since it was shown in July at E3, proving there is plenty of room for another contender in the area.

So if you don't fancy having to pre-order the game to claim your spot, then just keep your eyes on Eurogamer and our community site Eurogamers this Friday morning.

It was pretty easy to get into the US beta when it opened, I just signed up. I didn't even lie about who I was or where I came from.

Thats kinda the whole point in a beta. To test the multiplayer aspect, server loads etc.

Anyway because Game have'nt sent me a code or anything ill wait and see if I can grab a code from here. and then cancel my pre-order.

Funnily enough, I ended up pre-ordering Call of Duty 4 from GAME about two or three months ago when I found that Gameplay.com didn't have it listed. I had no idea there was a beta at that time though but if I get a beta key then I'll certainly check the game out even though I'm not a big lover of online multiplayer games.

yeah there was a glitch so uk accounts could use the US beta, they've since covered this whole up with a temp fix.

Got friends who are in it and keep inviting me over XBL even though they know I don't have a key JUST TO RUB IT IN

Same as Choosebary here. They only banned the "multiple download" offenders (using account retrieval to install the game on multiple xbox's)

Register on the Eurogamers part of the site and part of your homepage there should be taken up with a header called "giveaways". I got into the beta a few weeks ago via the cod.com random lottery, but it will be nice to play against a few more Europeans.

I hate to sound elitist and whatnot, but there has been loads of stuff on this site for DAYS about how the keys. The forums have had threads about where they will be precisely located.

I say, if people can't find them easily on their own (read: can't be arsed to spend five minutes looking for them), then let this be the natural wheat/chaff sorting method for ensuring some kind of minimum attitude amongst our beta brethren.
