Overwatch beta now live in Europe and America

Qualifying players gain access to Blizzard's new game over the next 12 hours.

The closed beta for Overwatch, Blizzard's upcoming arena shooter, is now live in Europe and America.

Those who have opted into the beta selection process and have been chosen to participate in this first wave will have access to the game automatically applied to their Battle.net accounts during the next 12 hours. If you've yet to sign up for the beta, you can still do so by logging into your account.

Earlier today, Blizzard warned its playerbase to ignore phishing emails purporting to provide them with their beta key. No keys will be issued at this stage of the beta programme, and so any official-looking emails are instead from someone looking to get their grubby hands on your hard-earned WOW gold and the like.
