First Modern Warfare 3 DLC drop dated for PS3

But still no word on PC release.

PlayStation 3 Call of Duty Elite premium members can download the first Modern Warfare 3 DLC add-on from 28th February, publisher Activision has announced.

It's the same two maps - Piazza and Liberation - that debuted on Xbox 360 last month.

There's no word on when PC and non-Elite subscribers can get their hands on the maps.

As previously reported, the new maps are the first installment in a nine-month DLC program that will see around 20 different add-ons released for last year's Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer-developed shooter.

Do PC gamers even play CoD?

I've never played COD, nor would I stump up money for something like Elite for any franchise, but I'm just curious to know did xbox elite subscribers pay more than PS3/Pc users? Were PS3 and PC users who subscribed to the service aware they'd be treated like second rate citizens compared to Xbox users before they paid for Elite?

@arcam Oh ok, like I said I'm not really fussed about the series(or fps in general) so I dont pay it that much attention, my points are still valid regarding PS3 users, it just seems a tad unfair and possibly even a consumer rights issue, if people were to subscribe and pay for a service and not be treated equally as other subscribers, without prior warning to signing up at least.

@reeferchief Yeah, I think it's a bit worse on PS3 because on PC we've always (well, since CoD 4) been aware we were an afterthought. It's also not as popular as it is on consoles.

I do think it's pretty unfair that PS3 owners pay a subscription just the same, but I don't think it's a consumer rights issue, just shitty treatment from Activision. Unsurprising though, the deals between MS and Activision must be worth an awful lot of money.

Why is MW3 likened to BF3? The only similarity I can see is the setting. They play like worlds apart. I would say MW3 is more like gears (or killzone for PS3ers).
