    Maybe something to finally put my gtx480 to good use

    Looking forward to this!

    Although I'm a little worried that I might not quite be able to run this on max, I can currently, but with all this on, I can see my 5870 struggling slightly. I'm one of those stupid people that tries to push things past their max because they don't want to have to compromise.

    I hope the title update will fix the horrible lobby problems, failed host migrations and dubious host selections.

    Looks like I can finally buy this!

    Oh yes. Must play through again then. Hope it doesn't melt my graphics card as Crysis 1 does.

    Finally. Good.

    Although I still don't really see why the game couldn't have shipped with features that were present in the original. But whatever yeah.

    So will this work on my 386 33mhz? I'm running Windows 3.10

    Kudos to Crytek. After all the PC love we got with the original, Crysis 2 left a lot the desired. The lack of DX11 support was just the tip of the ice burg. I just hope another patch is incoming that will fix the lacking controls. For instance, I'd like the be able to zoom further in with a snipe rifle using the mouse wheel like you could with the original. Using a scope in general seemed to make aiming harder than easier in Crysis 2 and it only got worse when inside a vehicle. You could just tell almost from the get go that the controls were designed for a game pad instead of a mouse. Considering the original controlled so smoothly and perfectly with the K/B & mouse, it'd be nice if the same level of precision could be patched into the PC version of the sequel.

    My question, is this really going to be a big performance hit, cause my gtx 460 better handle it, i still remember the diference between crysis dx9 and crysis dx10, lets hope it doesnt repeat itself..

    @desomondo: you can edit a .cfg file with a cvar to disable mouse acceleration (google it). Still doesn't change the fact that Crysis 2 doesn't live to the highs of previous Crytek titles and is by far their weakest game.

    I wish all developers did this with multiplatform games so the modern PC doesn't waste the 80% performance overhead it has over consoles.
    Thanks, Crytek!

    DirectX11 contains features that improve performance as well as image quality such as hardware tessellation, whereas directx10 just slightly improved image quality with a big performance hit. I'd be surprised if this had trouble running at high settings on current hardware. I've got a q6600, 4gb ram and a radeon 5850. Will get this now, whereas before I wouldn't have bothered. Good move by crytek.

    @Buran

    Thanks for the tip. I had already done just that and applied quite a few tweaks (I pretty much do for every single game I play these days) but even so the controls still feel considerably unrefined. Much like the rest of the game really: smaller environments with plenty of invisible walls, an overpowered suit with ironically offers less freedom, etc, etc. A typical console port and a real shame after Far Cry 1 & Crysis 1.
