Sega announces London 2012 Olympics

Mario and Sonic nowhere in sight.

There's an official video game of the London 2012 Olympics on the way and it's called London 2012 - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games.

Sega will serve the title to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners next year.

It's a straight-faced alternative to Sega's other, less-serious Olympic offering - the colourful Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

London 2012 promises over 30 events and online leaderboards.

But no Toadette.
