Battlefield 3 Physical Warfare Pack

Exclusive to Game and Gamestation.

Pre-order the Battlefield 3: Limited Edition from Game or Gamestation and you'll get the Physical Warfare Pack.

This includes the Type 88 light machine gun with bipod "for superior firepower and total zone control". Also included is the SKS sniper rifle flash suppressor that provides increased stealth abilities for Recon soldiers. And finally, the "lethal armour-piercing" flechette ammo for the DAO-12 semi-automatic shotgun "that is sure to tear through anything in its path".

The pack also includes the already announced Battlefield Back to Karkand day one expansion pack, which features maps from Battlefield 2, including Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman and the Sharqi Peninsula, recreated using the Frostbite 2 engine. This is included in all Limited Edition purchases.

Al Bickham locked and loaded for Eurogamer's Battlefield 3 preview.

  • mashk #3 1 year ago

I don't want to buy it from Game/Gamestation. What do I do?
  • weejok #4 1 year ago

Anyone else getting really tired of all this pre-order DLC bullshit?? I shouldn't have to order from overpriced retailers to get the full game. :(
  • shadowaspect #5 1 year ago

Eurogamer should ask EA if they remember promising a BF3 beta for purchasers of Medal of Hono(u)r.
  • BillMurray #6 1 year ago

They should also add that Wake Island is included in the map pack.
  • Phantom_Dynamite #7 1 year ago

Just give it to everyone who bloody pre-orders God Dammmit!!!
  • MadDave123 #8 1 year ago

Fuck off with this shit. This type of "incentive" makes me NOT want to buy games from the retailers involved. GAME won't be getting my money, that's for sure.
  • Gearskin #9 1 year ago

Competition breeds this stuff. They need to secure sales one way or another. What better than shreds of content?
  • Architect_z #10 1 year ago

    You shop at GAME?
  • carlitoswagon #11 1 year ago

Pretty sure these maps are included no matter where you buy it. On anther note, none of those weapon unlocks will save your ass when a tank is a comin.

+1 regards MOH beta promise. Still waiting!

"SKS sniper rifle flash suppressor that provides increased stealth abilities for Recon soldiers."

This worries me. That is all.
  • geeza2020 #13 1 year ago

Just out of interest, if you didnt give a shit about retailer-specific pre-order bonuses, wheres the cheapest place to pre-order BF3 at the moment? I like the sound of the back to Karkand stuff, just not this shit.
  • TitusCrow #14 1 year ago

I want to know if it has steam works in it. I most likely will get it from there, like most of the purchases I make for the pc now.

I would expect them to have a special edition with the day 1 content in it from there as a pre purchase too. if not the who knows..
  • Adaptor #15 1 year ago

It's probably all stuff that you'll unlock later anyway. Or at least something comparable. DICE knows better than to ruin MP balance with this kind of thing.
  • Ranger101 #16 1 year ago

  • coolbritannia #17 1 year ago

Retailers in attempt to secure sales shocker. Bunch of whinging twunts.
  • Olemak #18 1 year ago

Sounds like stuff that will be unlockable in the game, but just comes "pre-unlocked" in the special editions.
  • sjmlondon #19 1 year ago

I think if you pre-order the Limited Edition from any retailer you get the 'Back to Karkand Map pack'.

I wonder if it is worth waiting to see if Amazon or Play have their own exclusives? I pre-ordered from Amazon as unlike Game they don't take payment until the game is dispatched.

'Physical Warfare Pack' sounds like it could be one of many 'Packs' available to buy as DLC in the game, the same as Dead Space 2. Get ready to be gouged guys!!!!!!

The other thing that concerns me was that the was a limited Gold edition of the first Bad Company game which gave you 5 weapon unlocks which was quite useful at the time. I suspect we will see other retailers offering their own exclusive packs so perhaps it is worth holding off before giving tyour pre-order to game.

"Anyone else getting really tired of all this pre-order DLC bullshit?? I shouldn't have to order from overpriced retailers to get the full game. :("
Then just buy wherever you like and you still get the full game. Cool, hu?
  • ozzzy189 #21 1 year ago

This is starting already. what a shite way of trying to force us where to buy from. Why can't we all start on the same playing field ?
  • Dannyboy1100 #22 1 year ago

    "day one expansion"

If they've already got it why can't they just stick it in the game so we can actually get our money's worth.
  • DwarfyP #23 1 year ago

Pre-ordered CoD MW3 Prestige, does that count?

@mashk You buy it from somewhere else.

@Dannyboy1100 You get it free anyway so why are you bitching about whether it is on the disc or available as a download?
  • FireMonkey #24 1 year ago

    @Mashk - "I don't want to buy it from Game/Gamestation. What do I do?"

Wait. Pretty certain this stuff will be available to you soon after release. It's probably already in the game but you need to unlock it by getting to level x.
  • Tryhard #25 1 year ago

"lethal armour-piercing" flechette ammo for the DAO-12 semi-automatic shotgun " This is for Battlefield 3 and not MW3 right?
  • FireMonkey #26 1 year ago

@Dannyboy1100 - "If they've already got it why can't they just stick it in the game so we can actually get our money's worth."

You are getting your moneys worth when you buy the standard game. The DLC is extra and so costs extra (although in this case it is free to you, but Game have paid loads to get the additional content).

Just because DLC is already made doesn't entitle you to it just because you buy the game. Most DLC is planned as a way of making extra money.

This is pretty standard business and not just in the games industry. There are plenty of things out there that you buy that offer you more things that have already been created for more money (DVD's with 'special addition content', Cars with 'additional features' such as air conditioning and alloys, etc).

As a 360 gamer i really can't wait for this, however, this looks like the pc version, there's no way the 360 can look like that. Is there ? Be great if it could though.
  • Lukree #28 1 year ago

Wtf it is with these kind of shitty deals.

Please EA, just release one proper BF3 game and guess what? It will sell like cakes.
  • Subdominator #29 1 year ago

It's played with a gamepad, so chances are pretty big it's a console version. There's not really anything here that hasn't already been done on PS360. Texture quality will be pretty bad on consoles (like CoD) and image quality will be better on PC.
  • Red930 #30 1 year ago

If its anything like BFBC2 these will be weapons you will unlock very early in the game anyway I wouldn't get bent out of shape about it.
  • chessboxer #31 1 year ago

For those relying on the MOH purchase to get into the BF3 beta, I hope you all read the info card that was put in the game.

The offer is only valid if the BF3 beta comes out within 12 months of the MOH launch date.

If the beta doesn't start by Oct 12th (15th in the UK), we won't be entitled to the automatic beta participation.
  • TheLittlestHobo #32 1 year ago

Just hope we don't get more of that BC2 SPECTAT bullshit. I waited until the 4 class bundle was 50% off (240mp) and I still felt ripped off.
  • P1GEONPOO #33 1 year ago

It hurts like hell how good that video looks, knowing its not out for months.
  • VibratingDonkey #34 1 year ago

These are basically multiplayer cheats. EA's pretty keen on making money off of those. They released an "Unlock everything" cheat for BC2 (only 1200 points). So expect more of this kind of bullshit.

  • deadstoned #35 1 year ago

EA's certainly going to reduce the pre-owned Battlefield 3 market with a deal like this :)
  • MattyD #36 1 year ago

I know it's only a video game but flechette ammo is illegal under international military law. JUST SAYIN.
  • Climhazzard #37 1 year ago

Maybe the free DLC isn't on the disc because they dont want to go over the storage limit and put in two discs. It's cheaper to just put it on as DLC. Cant understand people getting their knickers in a twist over it. Has anyone ever got anything free with a CoD game? Didn't think so.

All retailers get exclusives with games like this stop moaning and get it from where you want. It isn't going to make a massive difference to your experience of the game. It's still the full game anyone who thinks otherwise are retards.
