EU PlayStation Store Update 6th April
Shop redesign!
The PlayStation Store has been redesigned. A bit.
There are new sections you'll notice when you tootle down the virtual aisles today. There's a top-level Demos category; a Franchises section to group all content by, say, Call of Duty; a Charts section for the most popular forms of all Store content; easier to find Themes and Avatars; and a more organised PlayStation Plus area.
Those changes are presented with a new cosmetic flourish.
As for actual Store content, highlights include a SOCOM: Special Forces multiplayer beta, ooh, as well as a MotorStorm: Apocalypse single-player demo.
Also arriving are new games Dungeon Hunter: Alliance and Red Faction spin-off Battelgrounds. There's a free trial of online shooter MAG up for grabs, too.
PS3 DLC of note includes The Lost Hobo King add-on for Stacking and the Steel Rain Map Pack for Killzone 3.
Decent Monster Hunter clone Gods Eater Burst can be bought and downloaded on PSP, too.
Today's full PlayStation Store update - courtesy of the EU PlayStation blog - can be found below the video.

Maybe that will work for you too.
Edit: Apparently they're either at it again, or Sony still hasn't recovered the service correctly. Had no problems this morning with checking the store and such, and now I can't login again. Not on the PS3, not on my PSP nor on the official websites.

Some good releases this week though especially for Plus members.

Still, for once there's a game on there I'm interested in, and there are quite a few to come. Nice to hear about the store update that brings it more into line with the superior NA store (although why was it ever different??).

There's been a demo section for years, it's just been moved to the top level.

This is the sort of thing the Digital Economy Act was supposed to address, instead it ended up being so weak it may not exist when it comes to the conduct of ISPs and overly heavy handed on consumers. Luckily EU legislation was passed last year saying that all member states must be able to deliver a minimum of 2mbps 24/7 though whether missing the target would result in penalty for the state in question or the ISPs responsible remains in the grey area.
Great store update this week, and the Plus stuff looks even better, just a shame that I can't get online right now due DDOS attacks, attacks that are being both glorified and supported by the media who are referring to these people as "hacktivists" making them look like the good guys rather than the borderline-criminal malcontents that they truly are.

borderline?
These guys steal gamers, site members, and amazon customers data, that's full blown criminal. If they targeted the companies alone i might not care, but these guys not only don't avoid collateral damage, they actively seek to cause it. I wouldn't dream of comparing it to the real deal, but that sounds more like terrorism than activism to me...
cunts indeed
edit
seems theres some anonymous supporters around here, if you want to support criminal lowlife thieves, then go ahead and rage against the "machine", and by machine, i mean ordinary decent internet users, because thats who anonymous targets.

@ Fendermaster - I say borderline because as yet it can't be proved that these guys are engaging in a criminal activity. These DDOS attacks are a misdemeanor at best and will likely be heard in civil courts with compensation damages rather than a criminal court with a jail sentence. These guys haven't done any of the things you say, at least not that can be proved anyway. That being said if they carry through on their threat to steal the personals of Sony employees and abuse them in the way they described yesterday then maybe we'll see them in a criminal court before long, but right now I think the term "malcontents" best describes this particular "organisation"

Want to try the Move control on MAG but need to free up space first.

Loving the price on that Penny Arcade bundle, bought that off the US PSN for 3 dollars a month or so back!
