Reach campaign matchmaking next week
Level cap may be lifted in a "month or two".
Bungie has said that the Campaign Matchmaking playlist for Halo: Reach is scheduled to go live on "approximately 10/19" (19th October in old money) pending final testing and review.
What's more, the current level cap is expected to be lifted "in the next month or two, give or take" via some "cool communal efforts", which the developer will detail on Bungie.net in the very near future.
Campaign Matchmaking will be accompanied by "quite a few other tweaks and improvements to existing playlists" according to Bungie's Brian "Sketch" Jarrard.
"The final changes are subject to change and pending final test review but it's our hope to roll out a dedicated Infection and Snipers playlist amidst a slew of other changes," he wrote in the studio's weekly update.
And if you've already hit the level cap, credits earned in the meantime will still be counted so they can go toward your next rank. "So, once the level cap is lifted, some players will shoot off into other ranks and get access to new stuff," player investment designer Luke Smith explained.
Anything else going on in the world of Bungie? "I do have it on good authority that something is stirring in the darkness, something dealing not with our future but with something much more familiar," Jarrard wrote.
"Dare I say that next weeks' forecast currently shows the fog clearing and the information you've been clamoring for is poised to burn through like the midday sun." Er, boom?

@roquey - there are plenty of people who *enjoy* playing through things at *their* own pace and don't want anyone else to tell them how things end, regardless of what some other internet person thinks. It was a good idea imo.

I was disappointed that I couldn't hop on with a stranger and play through it again.
Also nice to see some more unlockable stuff coming!

Just keep trying to do it on the last level, right at the huge cliff, with the pillar of autoum in the background. I had to do it like 10 times before the achievement poppep up, i was going crazy too, just keep trying. Jumping straight onto the guy and press melee did the trick for me eventually
