War of the Vikings is the follow-up to War of the Roses
Sack England as a Norseman or defend it as a Saxon.
Paradox has announced War of the Vikings, the follow-up to War of the Roses due out on PC in early 2014.
It's built by the Fatshark, the Swedish studio that created War of the Roses, and uses the technology that fuelled the medieval squad combat game.
In War of the Vikings you create a warrior and sack England as a Norseman or defend it as a Saxon. There's a focus on close quarters combat, authentic settings and weaponry and customisation.
Oh, and there's 64-player battles.
You can sign up for the alpha over at the official War of the Vikings website.
