Red Faction XBLA/PSN game revealed

Isometric co-op arena romp.

THQ Digital has revealed a downloadable Red Faction arena combat game for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Subtitled Battlegrounds, the title will be played isometrically, involve four-player co-op and offer unlockable items for big-brother Red Faction release, Armageddon.

There's no word on date nor cost as yet.

THQ lifted the lid on Red Faction: Armageddon in June. The sequel's due in March 2011 and takes the IP underground, because Mars is an inhospitable place that makes Arnold Schwarzenegger's eyes pop out of his head.

Armageddon excited.
