Payday 2 DLC adds new heist and first playable female character

All available DLC to come in discounted bundles this week.

Payday 2 has just received two new pieces of DLC on Steam. One adds a new heist, the other the game's first playable female character, Clover.

Meet Clover. Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, punk?

The Diamond Heist adds an all new mission where your ragtag crew is tasked with stealing the world most precious diamond from a museum. It contains four new masks based on historical myths: Anubis, Medusa, The Cursed One and Pazuzu.

The Clover Character Pack adds the gang's first female crew member, Clover. She has a new perk called Burglar that allows her to pick locks, bag bodies and answer pagers faster. Burglars also heal quicker due to their high tolerance for pain. Clover also has a cool mask, L-95 assault rifle and heavy skull-cracking stick called the Shillelagh.

The Diamond Heist Pack is £4.99 / $6.99 while the Clover one is £3.99 / $4.99, but both are 10 per cent off until 2nd January.

Coming 18th December, Payday 2 will offer discounted bundles of its DLC, so new players can catch up at a lower price.

A Game of the Year bundle will contain everything for $79.99 (about £50), while the Gage Weapon Pack focuses solely on weapons for $29.99 (about £19) and the Heist Pack bundle contains all the extra missions for $24.99 (about £16).

Each bundle comes with its own unique mask, with the GOTY Edition containing the Arch Nemesis, the Gage Weapon Pack comes with "Robo-Arnold" and the Heist Pack a creepy nun mask and hood. More details can be found at the official Payday 2 site.
