Nintendo farms out Ocarina of Time 3DS

Secret of Mana creator takes charge.

As one of gaming's indisputable all-time classic, you'd have thought Nintendo would be handling the forthcoming 3DS remake internally. Well, not so.

According to Siliconera, Nintendo has put the project in the hands of a little known Japanese studio called Grezzo Games with only one title to its name – Japan-only 2010 WiiWare effort Line Attack Heroes.

Before you start fearing the worst, bear in mind that Grezzo was set up by former Square Enix employee Koichi Ishii. As well as working on a number of Final Fantasy titles dating right back to the 1987 original, he also directed classic SNES action RPG Secret of Mana.

Safe hands, we'd say.

As revealed earlier today, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D launches on 17th June.
