Are you buying a PSP? Tell us why or why not

We're curious.

So the PSP finally launches in Europe this week. It's going to cost lots of money, but it does lots of things, there are lots of games available and - let's be honest - it is extraordinarily shiny. It's so bright, says Sony's Phil Harrison, that the Nintendo DS is gimmicky and irrelevant by comparison. (Well, it's not on either count actually, Phil, so stop being a numpty.)

Whatever your view, we want to hear it. Are you going to buy one? Why? Why not? Did you try to get hold of one for launch and fail? Which games are you picking up? Has the PSP been overhyped? Is it actually just a new front-end for old ideas? Does the multimedia stuff matter to you? Will you actually use the Wi-Fi multiplayer stuff? Do you plan to browse the 'net using it? How will you use it? And what about the price, eh?

Go ahead and tell us, and we'll compile the best responses (well, the ones that have the best jokes in them anyway)? We're also keen to hear what you think of the PSP once you get hold of it? Is it all it's cracked up to be? Is it just plain cracked? Any dead pixels? What do you think of the games? Can we stop talking like this? Everything's a question? It's slightly tedious?

For more on the PSP, flail your mouse and hit the left button. It'll probably take you to something PSP-related. And don't worry - we're going to start talking about other stuff again very soon. Normal service, such that it is, will be resumed just soon as soon as the launch excitement runs out of batteries.
