Tekken 5 ready for E3

Namco will show the latest in the Tekken series at E3, according to UK sources.

Namco is refusing to comment on rumours that Tekken 5 will be shown at E3.

The latest game in the fight series will, according to senior sources, make a debut at the Californian expo and release for PS2 before the end of the year.

The Japanese publisher appeared to shy away from Tekken after the relative flop of Tekken 4, with insiders admitting that the company's focus with regards to fighting games had drifted towards Soul Calibur.

Tekken took something of a battering last time round with the release of Virtua Fighter 4 from Sega, a game branded as near perfection by those addicted to one on one combat.

E3 and the Iron Fist. We'll be there.
