Michael Jackson heads to 3DS, Vita

Rhythm-action game due this Xmas.

Ubisoft has just announced a new title in its Michael Jackson: The Experience series, with a touch-based rhythm-action game coming to 3DS and NGP later this year.

Revealed in the wake of the publisher's E3 press conference, Wacko Jacko's handheld offering involves using both systems' touch input to draw shapes that match the beat and choreography.

The game will feature 15 core tracks, including Thriller, Remember The Time and Smooth Criminal, with more bonus content to unlock.

There's also "freestyle moments", during which players can "create their own choreographies" from the King Of Pop's elaborate repertoire.

All of which sounds substantially less embarrassing to play than the home console versions. But will it be as much fun?

The game's slated to release worldwide in "Q4 2011".
