Blizzard has said that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II will be playable at its Worldwide Invitational event this summer.

It will be the first time the developer has picked Europe as a destination for an enormous community get-together, with the honours falling to the Porte de Versailles Exposition Center in Paris on 28th and 29th June.

Among the attractions will be discussion panels, musical performances and silent auctions, as well as tournaments for you competitive types who play StarCraft, Warcraft III and World of Warcraft.

Which is all very nice, until you see the GBP 55 / EUR 70 asking price for the tickets. Still, if you dress up like a murloc or one of your other favourite Warcraft characters then you might get your picture taken and win a prize.

We might say hello too, as we wander the halls and fiddle with the new games.

Keep an eye on the Blizzard site for more information.
