Pretty much since I was a child, video games have been full of jerks. Donkey Kong? What a prick. Super Mario Kart? Full of jerks. I wasn't that familiar with the expression "climb a wall of dicks" when I was 10 years old, but if I had been then I would have directed it in Princess Peach's direction almost as often as I burst into tears because she pipped me to the line on Rainbow Road.

Sucker Punch's home is roughly a 15 minute drive south west from the spreadsheet-porn palaces of Microsoft and Nintendo. Well-hidden among the sterile sprawl of Bellevue, Washington, it's filed away in one of the city's numerous towers of gleaming anonymity.It's refreshing and somewhat surprising when the elevator doors part to reveal a team of 80-odd artists and technicians creating video games.

It revealed inFamous 2 at E3 2010 to an excited media, built upon that good work with strong showings at gamescom and PAX, and redesigned series star Cole MacGrath twice. But now the hard work of crafting a visually stunning destructible sandbox really begins.

Lightning strikes twice.

InFamous was a decent open world superhero game with just one problem: the superhero himself. Cole McGrath is a fine enough name if you're a guy who mows other peoples' lawns for a living, but it lacks a little spark when you transport it the world-saving business - and the face behind it wasn't much better either.
