Update: Split/Second game director Nick Baynes has verified the DLC to Eurogamer and explained that the additional cars will offer no "unfair advantage".

UK retailer Play has revealed the contents of the first batch of Split/Second downloadable content.

It's supposedly called the Hyper Car Pack and contains three "super-high performance" motors. There are "among the most powerful" in the game and offer drivers an "instant advantage" when picked.

Play knows this because pre-ordering at the retailer is rewarded with a free code for the DLC.

We're waiting to hear back from Disney about whether the information is correct.
