Come out from behind your sofa. Scary shooter F.E.A.R. 3's release date has been pushed back to 24th June.

Warner Bros. confirmed the game's release had slipped to Videogamer after UK retailer GameGears posted the news on Twitter.

The game had previously been listed for launch almost a month earlier, on 27th May. That's a week after Rockstar crime thriller L.A. Noire.

Warner Bros. ventured no reason for the delay.

The creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky title follows brothers Point Man and Paxton Fettel. But these bros aren't out to save princesses.

Fettel takes down whatever goes bump in the night with telekinesis, while Point Man prefers good old-fashioned guns, mixed with some Matrix time-slowing.

Players can also take the action into multiplayer, with modes such as "Soul Survivor" and "F***ing Run".
