Editor's blog: Eurogamer Sweden is back!

As good as new.

Some of you may know that, late last year, we regretfully closed our Swedish language edition. No drama - just an amicable parting of ways with the team that ran the site.

Well, I'm delighted to announce that www.eurogamer.se is now back online! In fact, it's been up for over a week now. If you're one of our many Swedish-speaking readers, do head over and check it out. If you're not, throw them a click anyway - you never know what you might learn. (I just discovered that the Swedish word for avoid is the awesomely censorious-sounding undvik.)

The people behind the relaunched site are Andréas Göransson, a former editor-in-chief of IGN Sweden, and Robin Stjernberg, also an IGN Sweden alumnus. They're based in Gothenburg. Andréas tells me that he's been an avid Eurogamer reader ever since he was a kid (I feel so old right now), so when Eurogamer Sweden closed he got in touch with us to ask if we still wanted to take the site forward. We did, and with a helping hand and some advice from our friends at Eurogamer Denmark, Andréas and Robin were able to get the new Eurogamer Sweden up and running pretty quickly.

Please give them a warm welcome to the Eurogamer family! And check it out, I got all the way through this blog without making an Ikea or an Abba reference. Or did I?
