It gives me a huge amount of pleasure to announce today that long-time Eurogamer contributor Christian Donlan has joined the site full-time.

Chris has been writing for Eurogamer for over four years, and I hope everyone else who works here won't think me a complete dick for saying that he's one of my favourite contributors. Chris is a guy you can always rely on to find the interesting core of any subject you throw at him, and then present it in a way people will enjoy reading regardless of whether they find the premise stimulating or not.

If you're the sort of person who doesn't pay a lot of attention to bylines, a few of his recent pieces include Night and the City, which I believe someone on Twitter (slightly unsympathetically) described as an article about L.A. Noire which is better than the actual game; The Lost Worlds of Lionhead and Bullfrog; and The Deadly Rooms of Derek Yu. You can read all his stuff on his author page.

Chris's job title is Senior Staff Writer, which means that he will be working with the site's editors to produce more stuff like the above on a regular basis. He is also one of the nicest people we know and he will be thoroughly embarrassed by all the things I'm saying about him. Sorry Chris! Welcome aboard.
