Zune to use MS points

Microsoft has confirmed that its new portable music player, Zune, will make use of the Microsoft Points system - just like the Xbox 360.

You'll be able to buy music tracks for 79 points a pop, or 99 cents in American. The Zune unit itself will launch in the US on November 14, priced at $249.99 (£133 / ¤197).

It's also been confirmed that Zune will hook up with your Xbox 360 so you can play music and other media, or via a Media Centre PC streaming content straight to your console. However, there's still no official word on the rumours that Zune will also run games.
