BioWare has confirmed a brand new Mass Effect game is in development as well as the just-announced Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
As part of N7 Day, the developer said it's working on the "next chapter of the Mass Effect universe". It's built by a "veteran team", but we don't know who exactly is involved.
"Meanwhile here at BioWare, a veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe," BioWare boss Casey Hudson said in a blog post. "We are in early stages on the project and can't say any more just yet, but we're looking forward to sharing our vision for where we'll be going next."
That's your lot, really, save a curious image on the BioWare blog post whose file name included the name "mud skipper":
Mass Effect is returning after the series was put on ice following the disappointing Mass Effect: Andromeda. Clearly, for EA and BioWare the time is right for a return to the popular sci-fi series.
It's busy times for BioWare. It's just announced the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, and it's working on Dragon Age 4 as well as trying to revitalise Anthem. Oh, and it's still operating MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.
