Fortnite's Legacy Look Controls options will be removed next week

Don't look back in anger.

Do you still use Fortnite's Legacy Look Controls? Brace yourself - from next week, the option will be removed.

In a couple of messages posted on the battle royale's social media channels, Epic Games says that following "improvements made to Aim Assist", the option to use legacy look controls is now redundant - so it's removing the legacy look option entirely.

It's not all bad, though - you can "maintain your legacy sensitivities" by copying them over in the controller options.

"With the improvements we've made to Aim Assist, we plan to remove the 'Use Legacy Look Controls' setting on March 13," Epic Games explained in a tweet. "To use the new settings and maintain your legacy sensitivities, select 'Copy from Legacy' in the Controller Options and toggle off 'Use Legacy Look Controls'.

"Note: Players who have 'Use Legacy Look Controls' enabled when the setting is removed will have their legacy sensitivities automatically converted to the new Sensitivity settings."

In the midst of the inevitable memes and jokes, though, most replies to the Twitter thread are now calling for linear to be removed, too...
