Zeraora, the last Pokémon coming to the 3DS, is releasing soon

Shock and 'ora.

Just under a year on from the launch, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are at last getting their final Pokémon.

Zeraora, an Electric-type mythical 'mon, is set to arrive via code distribution for a limited period of time. It's available from 1st October 2018 until 15th November. You'll need to visit a participating retailer to get the code.

There's no news on what those retailers are just yet, although it's worth noting that the majority of recent code distributions for mainline Pokémon games have come via GAME in the UK.

The big thing, of course, is that this marks the final Pokémon to arrive on the 3DS system before the series makes the leap to Nintendo Switch with Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee this November - on the 16th, in fact, just a day after the giveaway ends.

It's a fairly slim window of availability then - at least compared to previous Gen 7 mythicals Magearna and Marshadow - but while you can't transfer it (or any other Pokémon from your mainline collection) over to Let's Go, you can at least get something out of it in the competitive scene, which is set to continue on using the 3DS games until late 2019, when the next, untitled full RPG is due.

Here's a quick rundown of Zeraora's stats, moveset and details for when you collect it:
