Just Add Water asks fans what Oddworld game they'd like to see next
Stranger's Wrath 2, perhaps? Or The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot? Or maybe Hand of Odd?
Oddworld developers Just Add Water is plugging away at its upcoming Abe's Oddysee remake, New N' Tasty!, but it's unsure what game it wants to make after that, so it's asking fans for their input.
A poll on Just Add Water's official site allows users to vote on which game they'd like to see in this bizarre universe. Notable choices consist of Stranger's Wrath 2, the cancelled gritty revenge fantasy The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot, and Hand of Odd, an RTS spin-off that was cancelled in 1999, only to be revived in 2011. It's currently "on the drawing board," according to series creator Lorne Lanning when we spoke to him at Eurogamer Expo.
The full list of choices is as follows:
- Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus HD
- The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot
- Sligstorm
- Oddworld: Sqeek's Oddysee
- Oddworld: The Hand of Odd
- Oddworld: Munch's Exoddus
- Something completely new on Oddworld
- Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath 2
- "Shut up and take my money!"
- Something on Mobile
It's worth noting that Just Add Water isn't basing its upcoming projects entirely on fan feedback, but it will aid in the decision making process. "Obviously, there's a lot more than just popular consensus for us to take into account, but tell us which concept has you stoked the most.," the company wrote.
