Amazon posts first Wii U box art - report

And it was all yellow. And blue.

Online retailer Amazon has posted what appear to be the first examples of Wii U box art.

Designs of three Ubisoft titles have been released: Assassin's Creed 3, Just Dance 4 and Avengers: Battle for Earth.

The images are still live now, over on the retailer's maple syrup-drinking domain.

Look familiar? The striking blue and yellow design is similar in shape to the box art style of Nintendo's GameCube era.

Ubisoft has yet to verify the artwork - we've asked for clarification and will update if we hear back.
