Final Fantasy Type-0 sequel in the works

On Vita?

PlayStation Portable game Final Fantasy Type-0 is still without a confirmed western release, but that hasn't stopped Square Enix from beginning work on a sequel.

Producer Hajime Tabata told Famitsu (via Andriasang) a "framework" for a sequel in the Type subseries "is already being worked on".

Sales of the PlayStation Portable spin-off were "very good", Tabata said. It topped the Japanese charts following its late October launch, shifting nearly half a million copies. Tabata said for the first entry in a new series, the game received a good response.

Will the Type-0 sequel launch on Vita?

What Tabata wants to make, however, is a sequel to PSP game The 3rd Birthday, which he directed before Type-0.

Type-0, originally Final Fantasy Agito 13, uses the Fabula Nova Crystallis universe established by Final Fantasy 13.
