Sonic Generations breaks series pre-order record

Sega goes hog-wild.

Sonic Generations is the most pre-ordered title in the history of the franchise, publisher Sega has boasted.

Its announcement didn't include exact figures, but claimed that the record makes it "the most anticipated title in Sonic the Hedgehog's iconic history".

"Sonic Generations is the ultimate title to cap off Sonic's 20th anniversary," commented Sega marketing exec Alan Pritchard.

"This year is a milestone for Sonic and we want to make sure this is the best title that Sonic fans, old and new, have been waiting for."

Generations hurtles into stores on 4th November for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and 25th November on 3DS.
