Guitar Hero and Rock Band learn to share.
Microsoft has said Xbox 360 instrument peripherals for Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Revolution will all be compatible across all three games.
Word follows a similar announcement made by Sony yesterday, which added that SingStar microphones could be used with Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour.
Microsoft karaoke game Lips, according to GameSpot, was absent from the compatibility list. Perhaps the tiny flashing lights are too off-putting.
Guitar Hero World Tour is due out for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS later this year.
Rock Band 2 will be a timed exclusive for Xbox 360 in the US this September. European plans are unconfirmed - we're still to receive PS3, PS2 and Wii versions of Rock Band 1.
Rock Revolution for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS is yet to be given a date.
