Bet they're using the 360 version right? Screen tear in the PS3 one is criminal. See Gooodfella's link in the review.

Pretty sure you can't save those people in the intro, just as in the first game you can't save the people at the mall entrance when the mad old lady lets the Zombies in.

Nope. Just like the first game, there's a massacre right at the start. There's another one later on as well where you find a man trying to use CPR on a zombie victim. As you get close to them, you get the message "BILL HAS DIED" or something. I restarted thinking I had missed someone elsewhere until I realised the death is scripted and can't be prevented.

Yeah in the first hour there's a lot of loading screens. After that it eases up considerably.

Yeah the loading screens at the start were a bit of a joke, after every small scene, but it subsides and becomes less of a problem, and then its all good clean zombie killing goodness

That's my take on it as well, actually it's my take on almost all retail games. XBLA games are too convenient (and hardly drop in price) so I have a harder time resisting those.
