Upcoming GHWT DLC dated, detailed

Oasis! Nickelback! Silverchair! Barker!

Activision has laid out the Guitar Hero World Tour content arriving over Christmas and into January 2009.

Due tomorrow are "Use Me" by Hinder, "Because of You" by Nickelback and "Light it Up" by Rev Theory.

Then, from 8th January, is the Country Rock Track Pack, which contains "Me and My Gang" by Rascal Flatts, "Ticks" by Brad Paisley and "Hillbilly Deluxe" by Brooks & Dunns.

Drummer Travis Barker, whose likeness is in the game, shows up next on 15th January. Three of his songs - "What's My Age Again", "Lycanthrope" and "Low" - are up for grabs.

A week later, on 22nd January, things turn Australian with "Tomorrow" by Silverchair, "Dimension" by Wolfmother and "Outtathaway!" by The Vines.

Oasis rounds out the month with the full Dig Out Your Soul album on 29th January. Joining existing downloadable tracks "Bag it Up", "Waiting for the Rapture" and "The Shock of the Lightning" are "The Turning", "I'm Outta Time", "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady", "Falling Down", "To Be Where There's Life", "Ain't Got Nothin", "The Nature of Reality" and "Soldier On."

That album will cost 1520 Microsoft Points (GBP 19.20 / EUR 18.24) on Xbox Live, or USD 18.99 from the PlayStation Store - European price not mentioned.

Each of the above track packs sell for 440 MSP (GBP 3.74 / EUR 5.28) or USD 5.49, with individual songs priced at 160 MSP (GBP 1.36 / EUR 1.92), USD 1.99, or 200 Wii Points (GBP 1.40 / EUR 2).

I love Nickelback, but never thought Chad "Wanker" Kroeger would've been happy about it, what with his whinging about Guitar Hero. Because of You is probably the best suited to GH though.

Your Microsoft Points conversion calculation for the UK is hopelessly wrong, Rob. It's actually somewhere around £13.00. You've got the UK price as being more pounds than Euros, which even with a straight exchange rate conversion today (which doesn't reflect the relative prices of the points across regions), with the huge weakness of the pound at the moment, would be incorrect.

    Typo?

I'm hoping there's a reduced price pack on DOYS for anyone who downloaded the first three tracks when they came out originally.

Zavvi have got Microsoft point cards in their sale at the moment, bargain. Still, not using any for this load of wank though.

wft £19.20 for an album. Hell even £13.99 is too much for an album that retails for around £6-8!!

How can companies justify these prices for the DLC!?

Also for that matter, how come RB DLC is cheaper than GH?

    But it's not £19.20. The calculation's wrong.

I was happy with Mr brightside, a while ago, its all down to personal taste.

I know "Tomorrow" is an old favourite by Silverchair, but I tend to think that Young Modern Station is their best album yet. A bit of that on RB or GH wouldn't go amiss.

Not really in the same vein as their grungier roots (man, you should see the kids getting all upset in YouTube comment threads for any of their newer songs), but musically inventive genius says I.

Yay Nickelback!! I've always wanted to pretend to be one of those hyperactive midgets advertising a sofa. Now Guitar has made it possible. Many thanks to Activision's song chooser guy, you sure know how to pick em...

Tomorrow will be fun on drums but every other song mentioned is pure garbage. How people listen to "music" like nickleback is beyond me. I guess people eat what they're fed. Fucking automotons...

I can't believe that people don't know ABC about XYZ and don't appreciate 123, it's gross. It's cos they're all stupid, evidently.

Can I buy some sort of parental control that would prevent anyone from ever downloading Nickelback?
