AVP due to arrive in February 2010

News of date Ripleys across the internet.

SEGA has told Eurogamer that Aliens vs. Predator will indeed be released in February, as the official website suggests.

AVP - developed for PC, PS3 and 360 - re-imagines the classic 1999 PC game of the same name. And better still, the same developer - Rebellion - is behind it.

SEGA has been gradually uncloaking the FPS of late, showing us the Predator and Marine campaigns, and we're off to see the game again at gamescom.

For now, all our content bunches like clueless Marines on our Aliens vs. Predator gamepages below.

I would love to be able to play as a Predator. Complete with shoulder-mounted plasma cannon, full-spectrum vision camera, lacerated net and a personal suicide bomb. I'm sold.

Weren't Rebellion the geniuses behined Shellshock 2: Blood Trails? aka THE GREATEST VIDEOGAME OF ALL TIME? Then this is as safe as houses, methinks! (Come to think of it, houses arent' that safe anymore are they?)

Worrying Sign Alert: EDGE this month quite rightly points out that Rebellion have allowed you to head stomp downed aliens. Yes, these are the aliens with acid for blood, which they've had in every media they've been used in. Had the Rebellion of old been developing this then I don't think we'd have seen that and this is a very, very worrying sign.

I'm pretty sure acid sprayed and hurt you in the original, and that was the best AvP game there's ever been.

ifs its shite, we should nuke the developers from orbit.

Gammme over man.. its game over (i still remember that bad sample from the Doom Mod). (and obviously the film)

its needs a L4D style thing with the marines and the scanner beeping, and large guns too.
And yes.. needs predator style arm nuke.

Top stuff only 6 months, I've far too much on the go already but might break out the PC games this weekend for a bit of nostalgia.

Oh, and watch the AvP area at the EG Expo, it's gonna be like a god damn town meeting down there!
