Rocksteady to make more than Batman
New owner Warner has made plans.
Warner's newest purchase Rocksteady Studios will be put to work on more than just new Batman: Arkham Asylum games.
UK president Josh Berger told VG247 he "hopes" to have the developer work on "other Warner Bros. intellectual properties" in the future too.
Warner's catalogue includes mammoth IP like The Lord of the Rings and, more recently, Mortal Kombat.
Rocksteady is currently working on a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, which currently has no release date. There's no word on whether the studio will be developing more than one game simultaneously.

The "YAYYY FOR CAPITALISM!" remark I made is called 'sarcasm' and it means that yet another small, successful Dev is being bought out by a massive firm only to turn it into a giant fat cash cow.
It's just shocking how dense some people are.

P.S. They were owned by Eidos, who were owned by Square Enix. It's a successful dev owned by a massive international firm who turned it into a gigantic cash cow being bought by another successful international firm who want to keep that cash cow well fed.
CAPITALISM!

WB have some good IP, but I'd hate for Rock Steady to become just about that established IP.
Mortal Kombat needs a reboot before I go anywhere near it, let alone others. Especially after that MK vs DC debacle. A game based on Supernatural, though, I could eat up if done well.
