Screenplay writer John Milius has agreed to pen the storyline for forthcoming FPS Homefront.

As reported by Gamasutra Milius's previous credits include Apocalypse Now and Red Dawn.

Homefront's plot will revolve around a team of American resistance fighters battling against North Korean invaders. It's in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will feature rifles, RPGs, tanks, planes and 4x4s, along with a massive multiplayer mode.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, visit Eurogamer tomorrow (edit: Monday!) for an exclusive preview.

Wasn't that exactly the plot of Red Dawn, 'cept with Soviet 'reds' instead of Korean ones?

Wow, let's not go for a plausible plot or anything. Honestly, North Korea? I guess it shouldn't come from a surprise, seeing as how Red Dawn had the Cubans and the Mexicans invading the southern US.

From good old wikipedia:

"The North Korean navy is considered a brown-water navy and operates mainly within the 50 kilometre exclusion zone. The fleet consists of east and west coast squadrons, which cannot support each other in the event of war with South Korea. The limited range of most of the vessels means that even in peacetime it is impossible for a ship on one coast to visit the other coast."

Maybe the North Koreans trained their army to swim over to the USA eh? How on earth this plot lasted more than 10 seconds before being shot down stuns me.
