Best get your day's gaming done by 4pm.

Sony has warned PlayStation Network users to expect a bit of downtime later today.

As announced on the official forums, PSN will be down from 4pm for an hour and a half.

During this period you won't be able to sign into the PS Store or manage your account. There will also be no signing in on the PS forums, blogs and other websites.

Should all be back to normal by 5.30pm though.

Well, as I had mine stolen when I was broken tinto whilst on holiday I am not that upset with the downtime!! on a funny sidenote, whoever did decide to burgle my house didn't bother to take the 360!! happy days for me as I was looking forward to ME2 and lovin it. Just hope its all sorted before heavy rain is out.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Took the PS3 and left the 360.

Edit: Unfortunately, my GTA IV was in the PS3 at the time

what makes it a real pain is the fact I bought the 60gig with all the bells and whistles... which I am sure some crack head selling it for �20 will not really appreciate... Insurance company being an arse as well, keep all your receipts people as it looks like I'm not getting my games replaced.

Many insurance companies won't cover consoles anyway, or if they do they charge insane premiums. Best double check your policy.

Insurance is a gamble, not always a scam. It worked out pretty well for me when I had �3k of tech nicked from my house 18 months ago: I got the latest versions of all my hardware and it happened fast too.

Vanmunt, you have my sympathy, it's a really shitty thing to happen - I found it was the data that was the biggest loss, hardware could be replaced, but photos and other things just can't, and all to fund some junky's afternoon of self-destrcution. Wankers.
