PQ Galactrix dated for Xbox Live News

Xbox 360 News by Tom Bramwell

3 April, 2009

D3Publisher has announced that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix will be released for Xbox Live Arcade on 8th April, with a PSN version to follow at an unspecified date.

Galactrix is the follow-up to the awesome Puzzle Quest, and sees players exploring space and getting into fights - the twist being that they are resolved by playing a competitive two-player tile puzzle against the AI.

It was match-3 in Puzzle Quest's case, but Galactrix uses a hexagonal system with shifting gravity and other quirks.

The PC version has been out since late February, when the game picked up a comfortable 7/10 in our review.

Good luck doing the times gate hacks on a controller.
Its hard enough with a mouse.
(Easiest with DS stylus)

They'll have to make them easier for joypads.

Love this on DS.

Not sure if I'll pick this up XBLA though.

More interested in this than Puzzle Quest, since it doesn't involve playing Bejeweled. Really hate Bejeweled. Big fan of hexagons though.
