No NiGHTS this year News

Wii News by Robert Purchese

16 October, 2007

SEGA has confirmed that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will not be out in Europe before Christmas.

Instead, you will be able to rush to the shops in the January sales and buy it, all the time feeling a little resentful that your US counterparts have been enjoying it since 18th December - they will probably get it in their stockings. Better than our He-Man toy. Just.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is the Wii sequel to the long lost game on the long lost Dreamcast, where you fly around a dream world called Nightopia helping children get rid of their Nightmares by defeating evil creatures called Nightmaren.

It is a little like a cross between action and racing; asking you to complete complete "laps" of a map as you chase a bird holding a key that you need - leading you to all sorts of areas like underwater, up in the clouds and many more.

So far it looks to be every bit the action-platform-racing hybrid we expect, demanding a glowing account from Tom who got to play it at the Tokyo Game Show last month (and obviously most of the above is pinched from what he said about it).

Pop over to his first-impressions of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams to find out much more.

Oh and this is wrong.

"NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is the Wii sequel to the long lost game on the long lost Dreamcast"

It was the Saturn it came out on - school boy error there EG.

@ Moz.

With spelling like "damb" it's probably best you didn't correct anyone.

Thanks Sega. We need all the Wii games we could get this year!

I certainly doubt everyone will have the money to rush out and get it in January, the game reeks of 'Xmas'.

I'm starting to really hate the European Wii's release schedule. Thankfully i can import.

So Nights and Forever Blue have both been delayed. Excluding Mario and Metroid and all the minigame compilations eg Mario & Sonic Olympics, the release schedule is pretty dry imo

Who said Endless Ocean/Forever Blue has been delayed? I know it's 2008 in the US..but it was dated a couple weeks ago for November 9th in Europe.

Endless Ocean has only beem delayed in the United States. Europe will see it 9/11/07 because USA are getting more Wii games then Europe, therefore they had to delay it there as there schedule was looking too packed.
