First patch released for Prey News

PC News by Ellie Gibson

31 August, 2006

3D Realms and Human Head have released the first patch for the PC version of Prey.

The 22MB update is "a tech/bug fix patch", according to the accompanying blurb, and "there are no new gameplay elements in this update (nor are there any planned for the future)." It's designed to stop the game crashing, basically, and improve the multiplayer experience for those with "higher latency connections".

Don't worry though, they're still putting together extra content such as downloadable maps and multiplayer skins, which will be available at a later date.

Prey patch 1.1 is now available for download via 3D Gamers.

The grass might not be greener in the olden days, but at least we took Prey to be a lot more interesting and groundbreaking than it really is. ;-)
