Konami working on PES6 online

Apologises for problems.

Konami UK has confirmed that it's looking into the problems some gamers are experiencing with online matches in Pro Evolution Soccer 6.

In a statement released yesterday, the company said it was "aware of problems with the online elements of its Pro Evolution Soccer 6 titles" and offered its apologies.

It went on to say that it "can reassure fans of the series that we are currently investigating the situation in order to present solutions as quickly as possible".

PES6, released on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and PC late last month, has been criticised for the apparent state of its online modes, with users having trouble getting Quick Matches to work on 360 - particularly ranked ones - among other things.

We'll let you know when we hear more, obviously.

There is a nack to getting a decent online game, though, if you hit refresh and leave yourself hovered over one of the hosts, as soon as it loads it, whack A and more often than not you'll get in. You have to be really fast, and you have to get lucky that it's going to be one of the first hosts to load up.

Saying that, once you get into one decent game without lag, you seem to be able to get into a lag-free game everytime.

    Needs moar saveable replays

Overall I have been impressed, yes they need to fix the Matcxhmaking issue.

But as CrunchinJelly says, if you refresh, and hit the lower ones as soon as they appear you get lucky. I played until 2am last night, absolutely quality games.

Needs replay save - AND HIGHLIGHTS SAVE! so I can send them to my friends.

Come on Konami. don't get arrogant, you could lose you crown.

this is the news i have been hoping for had a few games online but were spoilt by lag and the majority of the time i can't get a game!!

Now Konami need to sort out the replays and Seabass will make me a happy man!!

you'll not get your replay saves until PES7 (probably)

If you remember Konami appologised before, and stated that half the features were missing due to time restraints..(personally they should have done an xbox version instead) as the PS2 version is the best version (and the xbox version would have been a port of that).. but MS wanted a next gen title and this bastard child of a game is what we got...

Worth mentioning the other fix for if you're having problems... It's unbelievable that it works, quite frankly, but it really does.

Turn your Xbox 360 on. Navigate through the dashboard blades to the Network Settings option, go into it, and then select the option to test your Xbox Live connection. Once this test has been completed, back out of the screens all the way back to the furthermost left blade, load your profile, and then put in the PES disc. You'll now (bizarrely) find, once you start playing on Live, that your "hit ratio" of connected games to drop outs goes up massively.

I have no idea why this works. But it does.

How on earth did you find that out? o_O

Set yourself to Busy to stop the lag on the notifications.

I've heard that a lot of people are pausing online games and waiting for their opponents to give up and leave, meaning that they get a defeat on their records, I hope they fix that!!!

    pc online is shocking

Been a week now, and if anything, things have gotten worse. On a phone call to Konami, I got "THE server is having problems". I find that an utter joke that one server handles their entire online system. Any network bod would tell you a raid array would be the base minimum for anything of this scope. Just look what IRC does with its linked servers Konami?
