Dreamfall to be sold online
Thanks to Softwrap tech.
Funcom's planning to hop on the digital distribution bandwagon and flog Dreamfall: The Longest Journey through its website.
Although it's yet to make it onto Funcom's online shop, it shouldn't be too long as the dev's announced a deal with Softwrap to make it work.
According to Funcom CEO Trond Aas, the company wants to release "many titles" through digital distribution in the future, starting with Dreamfall.
Softwrap's technology's been integrated with the game in such a way that players will be able to distribute their purchased copy to friends and family, who will then be able to choose to buy it within the software.
Dreamfall, due out next month in the UK through Empire, is the second game in the Longest Journey adventure series.
