Talk to Ghost Recon devs

In live online chats.

With just a few months to go until squad-based shooter Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter hits the shelves, Ubisoft is hosting two online chats which will give you the chance to put your questions to the game's developers.

The first chat will take place at 5pm GMT today, and will be with producer Mathieu Girard, executive producer and military expert Bo Andersson, lead designer Ulf Andersson and sound designer Simon Viklund. They'll be discussing the PC version of the game.

The Xbox 360 version will be the topic for the next webchat, which is scheduled for Wednesday December 7th at 5pm GMT. This time you'll be able to talk to game designer Christian Allen and lead multiplayer level designer.

If you want to take part and already have IRC, just head over to irc.ubisoft.com and join channel #GhostRecon. Alternatively, you can just visit http://chat.ubisoft.fr and select the GhostRecon channel.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is out on PC, PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 in February.

Anyone going to ask them why the recent game footage on 360 looks a lot like GR2 on Xbox, as opposed to looking like the very nice, but utterly fake footage from E3? Wait, I probably don't need an answer to that one.

I really think Ubisoft should be given a hard time on this issue. The E3 footage was clearly presented as "play footage", which to me constutes an even greater deception than the whole Killzone PS3 debacle.

I'd like to ask them "do you remember these PC things"?

What's this PC thingy you speak off? Tell me now human!

I'd like to ask them why their Live game lobby interfaces and menus are so bad, and why their network code is about as stable as an elephant on a unicycle.

I loved GR2 as a game, but as an overall experience the stability and interface usability drove me potty.

"and why their network code is about as stable as an elephant on a unicycle. "

I would have thought the elephant's low centre of grivity would have helped there. Plus it could extend its ears for balance and even use its truck to push against walls etc in times of trouble. Shows what I know. Kangarootoos excel on the unicycle, as they do at all things they attempt.

EDIT: typo, except I left it uncorrected as "gravity" is a great typod IMO.
