N+ leaps onto DS and PSP this April

Complete with added co-op and level sharing.

Atari plans to spring DS and PSP versions of N+ on us this April.

The handheld games had previously been restricted to the US, where they were welcomed by solid critical reception (Metacritic says roughly 80 per cent).

N+ casts players as a stick-man ninja who must leap around collecting coins and find a way to reach the level exit, all while avoiding numerous obstacles or falling too far and splatting. Gets really rather taxing.

New bits for DS and PSP include co-operative multiplayer and level sharing over ad-hoc and wireless networks. There's a level editor, then, obviously, plus downloadable extras and regular multiplayer that uses cartridge sharing.

N+ launched for Xbox 360 last March and suitably impressed us. Track down our N+ review to find out more.

Awesome game. Had it for quite a while now on 360 and it's nice to see it being able to reach a wider audience for DS and PSP

Without level highscores the game is a total waste of time. Is it too much to hope that some have been tweaked in for the Euro release?

Hopefully they'll have tweaked the awful front end menu system which bizarrely has New Game as the default highlighted option on the title screen.

Careless pressing of the A button (on DS) on the title screen leads to the erasing of your saved game; easily done, particularly as it doesn't ask for confirmation that you wish to overwrite your saved game.

Does it come with a free gag, to muffle your swearing. Its a great game, but brings out the most colourful language at times.
