LittleBigPlanet to add water support News

PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

18 August, 2009

Sony has revealed that LittleBigPlanet will soon support water, allowing Sackboys and Sackgirls to swim, sail boats, dive and more.

The European PlayStation blog splashed the news, offering an aquatic, organ-accompanied video of the possibilities this brings.

Water functionality will arrive as part of "an exciting new kit". There's no date, but the blog promises more information later in the year.

This is fantastic!! :D

It will be a huge for boost for level designers (like me). Hopefully the water-level can be controlled via switches to make Tomb Raider-like levels possible :)

Hopefully this will be a level pack on par with the MGS one. It's been disappointing that most of the releases since have just been overpriced costumed packs.

@evilfoxhound: This won't be in the GOTY edition. At least it said so on US PSblog

For gods sake. I've nearly finished my water level (I started it last year but had to take time out for other games).
Nevermind eh, mine would still be crap with the water dlc anyways.
