Is MGS going to be set in a field?

Kojima Productions has created a teaser page for its "Next" project ahead of the planned 18th May reveal.

The placeholder depicts an overgrown grassy field flanked by barely-leaved trees. A brooding sky filled with pinky-grey clouds rolls across the top of the picture. It's similar to the image published in Famitsu earlier this week.

"Hideo Kojima", "MGS", "Metal Gear" and "Next" are all mentioned in the source code for the page.

And Hideo Kojima has already said development is under way on another another Metal Gear Solid game called "The Next MGS".

He's promised to show us his new game at E3, although this may be something completely different.

We're about to find out, it seems.

To clarify: Konami never said the reveal would be 18th May. The advert in Famitsu said that. Konami sent emails out to press that said "T -3 days", "T -2 days", and "T -1 day" starting from the 11th May, stating that today (15th) was the day that the website was to go live.

Makes me think there will be a further reveal in 3 days time.

Remove the lengthy cutscenes so it's just the MGS gameplay, my choice would be MGS1, and I'll get a PS3 for it.

For me it's that simple.

but then the game would last around 3 hours, maybe if they do that the next metal gear would work as a psn game or something?

hey guys its definately MGS5. wen the thunder hits the number 5 appears. and the thunder totally nodes to raiden being the star of the game,much to my dislike. but watever,a new mgs with kojima making it is all i want,ive played with raiden full game before(MGS2) and i guess ill do it again. heres hoping for phenomenal graphics.
