Lionhead asks for merch suggestions.

Lionhead Studios is asking fans to come up with ideas for Fable III merchandise.

A post on the company's Facebook page reads, "With the release of Fable III imminent this year we've started thinking about different kinds of merchandise for the game. There are literally hundreds of things we can come up with; from mugs and t-shirts to an LCE or books, maybe even branded condoms."

That's right, you could well be putting a Fable-branded one on the end of it, as Jeremy Kyle would say.

If that doesn't appeal, why not make your own suggestion? You can do so over on Facebook or by taking part in Lionhead's special survey on the issue.

Fable III is down for release this Christmas. Visit the gamepage for those all-important DNA results.

Is it me or is the series turning into the Katie Price of gaming? Every week there seems to be some lame news about it, as if they're desperate for attention, just like the fame and headline addict Jordan. "Fable 3 is going to piss you off" and "Should we have Fable-branded Johnnies?" don't seem like respectable headlines for a game in development.

How pathetic. The 'sex' bits in the game were juvenile, pointless and a total waste of the developers time. possibly upping the BBFC age rating in the process.

Actually, if you read the BBFC description for Fable2 on the website you see that the game would've got the 15 even without the sex bits.

Whether it would've still got an M in the States without the sex bits is another thing entirely...

Much of a prick he might be, I don't think you could ever call Molyneux talentless. The man designed Theme Park and many other seminal titles.

The thing is, his games would probably be better received if he didn't mouth off about them all the time, and I'm certainly more a fan of his earlier work.

Remember the good old days when only the most influential of games had any kind of merch at all?

I can't help but wonder what drastically low expectations are being held for this game if they are already pitching merchandise some nine months before the expected release date. Forget the merch and make sure that this game has all of the features that Molyneux will claim it has over the coming months.
