F.E.A.R. 2 Reborn DLC priced
New story for seven quid.
Warner Bros. has announced that the Reborn DLC for F.E.A.R. 2 will cost 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80/€9.60) when released on 3rd September for Xbox 360. PC and PS3 versions show-up on the same day, incidentally, and will be priced accordingly.
That's not too pricey, considering that Warner and developer Monolith considered the extra story content so big that they released a demo last week.
On top of all that, Xbox 360 owners will get a free patch adding slow-motion deathmatch on 3rd September.
Reborn opens the story of special soldier Foxtrot 813, who sees the F.E.A.R. story from yet another perspective. But who is he really?
Head over to our F.E.A.R. 2 review to get a better perspective.

The game's quite good! If you have a PC then you just buy the game cheap in a store, fire up Steam and add the cd-key to your library. Then you can download away to your heart's content...
I picked it up in HMV for €9.99 (about £7) two weeks ago. I didn't even give a shit that the discs were all scuffed up (thanks to their ingenious policy of leaving the box on the store shelf and keeping the discs/manual in a small plastic bag near the register) - cos I just threw away the discs and activated the cd-key on Steam. The game is now mine for good!
That's one of the best (and worst) things about Steam, as to buy it directly from them costs €49.99 and the end product (the right to download it) is exactly the same.

Ah! Well then you can ignore everything I said (very little of it was actually about F.E.A.R. 2 tbh) and basically forget picking it up on PS3. At least, according to Digital Foundry, the game is a mess on PS3. Couple that with the (admittedly harsh) 5/10 review here on EG and you get the picture.
Save your pennies for Uncharted 2 instead

Basically for some of the prices I have seen it going on the consoles it surely is worth it.
As for the ending, I thought it was great the way they gave me the exact opposite from what I had been expecting. It also leaves it open for a third game.
More fun to come I hope.
