Evolution repaints whole of MotorStorm 2

Free livery packs for next eight weeks.

Starting today, Sony and Evolution Studios plan to release eight free livery packs for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift at the rate of one per week.

Each pack consists of a new paintjob for three vehicles, and the complete set covers every vehicle in the game.

This week is the Lunar-Tec Signature Livery Pack, followed by the Patriot, Mohawk, Voodoo, Atlas, Jester, Wombat and Monarch packs every Thursday until we're done.

You can see how some of them look in our MotorStorm: Pacific Rift Livery Packs gallery or in the accompanying trailer.

It's the game's first downloadable content, and follows the second patch, released on Monday, which closed off a shortcut and fixed a respawn point issue on the Sugar Rush track and introduced Microbadges.

These are miniature Trophies, if you like, which respect your ability to run people off the road, win all the game's gold medals or have a completed save-game for the original MotorStorm (respect).

If all this is nonsense to you, check out our MotorStorm: Pacific Rift review.

Free? Can't complain. Hope they release some new single player tracks/races this time rather than just multiplayer. Obviously have to pay for those, though.

This needs something in the way of more tracks.

This game is definitely on my PS3 buy list. The demo is most enjoyable.

It's very foolish that advertisers and agancies aren't taking advantage of this stuff to plaster cool looking logos all over vehicles for free optionally.

If it gives a game a fresh look after 20+ hrs of play, and isn't too intrusive, then I'd be all for it. They're seriously missing a trick, as TV adverts are mainly worthless shite, these days - apart from on certain primetime shows.

Everyone Sky+'s or turns over, and even of they don't, the audience is so spread out, that it's worth advertising games on TV - to get hold of an audience that might miss you - and the same for other brands/products that appeal to us - they should advertise in games to catch the audience that's not seeing shite multi-channel TV adverts.

Keep the loan companies, alcohol, chatline and casino ads out of the way - and I'm fine with this. Just don't ram it down our throats!

    Add value.
