Bungie shows new Halo 3 map
Ghost Town. Like Swiss cheese.
Bungie has whipped the wrappers off its upcoming map pack by giving us a look at Ghost Town.
This is the first new area in the spring-bound bundle, and is a ruined 24th Century water purification complex in hot Africa.
It's taken the team four to five months to flesh it out - which seems like rather a long time - and was once described as feeling like Swiss cheese.
Ghost town is perfect for infantry teams of four or less, apparently, and works well with game types like One Bomb and One Flag.
Visually we would describe it as penetrating, which is why we've pinched some screenshots of it so you can make your own mind up.
Eurogamer has more information coming on all of this next week. We really do.

Oh hang on... I traded Halo 3 in because it just wasn't getting any playtime.
Shields and stuff seemed like hard work, after having switched to CoD4... but the wealth of Forge and Replay stuff in H3 means that one day, perhaps, I will pick it up again if there is ever a 'quiet time' when there aren't any other games to play.
Perhaps after an Apocalypse or something.

This map looks tasty though. Still crack on H3 every now and then when the lads are up for a sesh'.

And what the fuck is it with Halo that stirs up people into a trolling frenzy?

Most people probably did what I did: Wait for them to become free and then join the fight again.

As for Halo 3, I've just got back into it with my mates again, and how I love it so. And this map looks cool, a little different from the rest, and if the others in the pack are as different looking it might just be worth the asking price.

They're free? Last time I checked they were still 800 points.

I think he means he's in the process of waiting...
But with games like Brothers in Arms, Vegas 2, etc due out soon, I wouldn't bother...

the opposite in fact. BECAUSE I have such a good income, I hardly have enough game time. Ergo, I need to distribute my time over games. Ergo I'm playing COD4 now and will pop back to halo 3 when the maps become free. There simply is no point for me in buying them when they become free because there is so much to do and so little time.
